NFL: San Francisco 49ers at Buffalo Bills

The 49ers signed their 4th round draft pick Kentavius Street to his rookie contract on Monday. He is not expected to play in the upcoming season after tearing his ACL in his pre-draft visit with the New York Giants. That didn’t stop the 49ers from taking the chance on him in a move that resembled picks of the Trent Baalke era. Hopefully he can make a full recovery to be a contributor on the team next season.

In another roster move, the 49ers parted ways with veteran offensive lineman Zane Beadles. Zane lost his starting job after Week 1 to Laken Tomlinson. Joshua Garnett is back in the mix after missing all of last season. He figures to battle with Jonathan Cooper and Erik Magnuson for starting positions on the offensive line.

In off the field news, the NFLPA filed a grievance on the behalf of Eric Reid. They are claiming he remains unsigned due to his protest. Eric reportedly spoke with the Cincinnati Bengals and they did not sign him because he did not commit to stop his protests. Eric Reid joins Colin Kaepernick in filing a grievance with the NFL. Both players are good enough to be on a team and it will interesting to see the outcome of these battles.
