So the big news of the day (and the week by extension) is that the San Francisco 49ers have extended Laken Tomlinson. Well, he got better with Jimmy Garoppolo starting, and as we all know, Garoppolo is going to continue starting through 2018.
The 49ers offensive line is definitely a question mark, but thank goodness they gave Tomlinson what they did instead of his atrocious option. It looks like he’ll be starting in 2018, but if things don’t work out, it won’t be as bad of a hit as it would be picking up a guaranteed option. Given the talent the 49ers have at the line, this isn’t a terrible signing. It’s not Zane Beadles, and the 49ers were wise to get rid of him.
