Well, that was the most boring Game 4 I’ve watched. The Golden State Warriors have swept the Cleveland Cavaliers and two-peated as NBA Champions. Can they three-peat? Who knows.
I don’t mind watching basketball. I’m more a college guy, but I’m not a dubs guy for sure. Why? Well growing up in Boise Idaho I was a Bulls fan (because of Michael Jordan) and didn’t even know the Warriors existed. When they finally got good a few years back I didn’t care about them and the NBA by extension. I’d love to ‘root’ for the Warriors, and I am a fan of Bay Area sports, but feel as if I don’t have a right to root mostly because I never cared about the Warriors when they were terrible. I’m always cautious of jumping on a bandwagon, I do live in Seattle afterall.
All that said—congrats to the Warriors. They are so much fun to watch, and while I wanted a bit more of a final game, I’m definitely satisfied with the results. Those rabid dubs fans deserve a three-peat and they are only one season away. I’m always in awe with Steve Kerr’s playcalling and ways to get his guys open for those three-point buckets.
Outside of basketball, we have some links for the 49ers, because we’re a 49ers site afterall.
