So, apparently the San Francisco 49ers need a new tight end. I’m guessing since it’s being openly discussed it’s not a big deal, or an important player, like Fooch stated.
But does anyone want to play the name game on who’s injured? I doubt it’s George Kittle or Garrett Celek, so we get to go further down the depth chart on who this mystery injury is afflicting.
As for who the 49ers were to go get run reps while they figured all this out, I’d say Vance McDonald is available, but Pittsburgh held onto him and he’s recently injured himself. So maybe they can go A.J. Jenkins. Sure, he’s a wide receiver, but maybe he wants back into football.
