The San Francisco 49ers report to training camp in three weeks, and expectations are high for the first time since 2014. The team’s win total has been installed at 8.5, and they are getting decent Super Bowl odds for the first time in a long time. It is no surprise then that they are also getting solid odds for simply making the playoffs.
The folks at BetOnline.ag have put together opening odds for each team’s chances of making the 2018 NFL playoffs (h/t Odds Shark). The Eagles and Vikings top the list at -260, and our 49ers are eighth at +135. For the Eagles and Vikings, you have to bet $260 to win $100. For the 49ers, if you bet $100, you’ll win $135 if they make the playoffs.
The Rams have the best odds in the NFC West at -170, and the 49ers are just ahead of the Seahawks, who are +220. The Cardinals bring up the rear in the division, and for the entire NFC, at +800.
