We made it through our first preseason game. Our running game and our pass rush did not look very good but there were some bright spots like Dante Pettis and Richie James. Jimmy Garoppolo had some problems with accuracy but six throws is not enough to even get his rhythm going.
Jimmy G may have a lot of targets but it could be a long season if we can’t get some kind of consistency from our running game. Hopefully our offensive line can step up to the challenge.
Our pass rush did not look any different than it did last year. We are counting on you Chris Kiffen. Please light a fire under our defensive linemen. That is what we brought you here to do. Just get it done. I know it is still early but I could not help but be more than a little disappointed in what I saw from our starters on the defensive line.
Did anyone else think Jimmy Ward did not look like an eight point five million dollar corner back?
