Joshua Garnett, Eli Harold, Brock Coyle return to practice

49ers are getting some players back.

Update: Richard Sherman is doing individual drills

The San Francisco 49ers are back at training camp and we already got some good news: Guard Joshua Garnett is back to practice. As is linebacker Brock Coyle and SAM/LEO Eli Harold.

It’s great to have Harold and Coyle back, but Garnett was the one question mark. He injured the same knee that resulted in him on IR and was seeking second opinions. Kyle Shanahan found the extended absence concerning.

It will be interesting to see the extent of Garnett’s participation today. The guard position is wide open with Mike Person now getting looks. Garnett will need to hit the ground running to get back into this competition.

Harold limped off the field in Thursday’s preseason game against the Cowboys in an injury that turned not not near as severe as it looked initially. Coyle injured his hip last week and was pulled as a precaution.

They’re coming back!
