Despite it being way too early to tell, it’s still fun to entertain discussions like this.
Recently KNBR had USA Today NFL columnist Jarrett Bell on to talk about all things training camp-related - towards the end of the interview, though, he was confronted with a question of which head coach/quarterback duo he would prefer: Los Angeles’ Sean McVay and Jared Goff or the 49ers’ Kyle Shanahan and Jimmy Garoppolo.
The funny thing is before the question was even fully asked, Bell went with the Oakland Raiders’ Jon Gruden and Derek Carr. He said he still loves what Garoppolo and Shanahan have, but in both instances, would still choose the setups that both Los Angeles and Oakland have.
