Live updates from Kyle Shanahan’s Week 1 Monday wrap-up press conference

New, comments

The 49ers lost their opener against the Minnesota Vikings. They’re back in Santa Clara to begin preparations for Week 2, and Kyle Shanahan meets with the media to wrap up Week 1.

The San Francisco 49ers’ first game of the season is officially a wrap. The team lost 24-16 to the Minnesota Vikings, dropping to 0-1 on the season. It was a mistake-riddled performance, and yet the 49ers had opportunities to keep this game close throughout.

The team is back in Santa Clara on Monday beginning preparations for their Week 2 matchup against the Detroit Lions. Head coach Kyle Shanahan will meet with the media at 4 p.m. PT to wrap up Week 1 and look ahead to Week 2. Given the late afternoon nature of the pressure conference, we should get some useful information on the injury report, with Mike Person and Joshua Garnett’s foot injuries the most notable.

The 49ers will stream the press conferences Twitter, Facebook, and the team’s app. The 49ers beat writers will also have updates from the media sessions. I’ve embedded our beat writer Twitter list so you can follow along. We’ll have a transcript later today.
