Detroit Lions running back LeGarrette Blount is listed at 247 pounds, but he likes bigger. He rumbles around and picks up yards doing dirty work. He gets tackled plenty, but we rarely see him physically overwhelmed by a single player. On Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, we saw just that.
Blount received a late third quarter handoff and the 49ers run defense sent him going toward the sideline. As Blount neared the sideline, defensive tackle DeForest Buckner lit him up. Blount leaned in to prepare for the collision with Buckner, but DeFo sent him flying. If you like the physicality of football, this was a good one.
