How many touchdown passes will Patrick Mahomes throw in Week 3?

A shootout seems the most likely result in this game.

The San Francisco 49ers defense faces a huge test on Sunday when they host the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes has been on fire through the first two weeks, throwing ten touchdowns while completing 69.1 percent of his passes. He’s actually only tenth in the league in passing yards, but his efficiency has resulted in the second highest passer rating through two weeks (143.3).

Mahomes threw four touchdown passes in Week 1 and six in Week 2. Whether you think he’ll match or exceed that, or will come in short, a betting option is available at Bovada!

Bovada set an over/under of two for Patrick Mahomes touchdown passes in Week 3. When this total opened, the over was even money (1/1 odds), while the under was installed at -140 (5/7 odds). That meant the under was favored. Since then, the line has evened out to -120 for each. Maybe they thought regression was in order, only to see some quick bets on the over.

How many passes do you see Mahomes throwing this week? I think we see a shootout in this game, and am inclined to bet the over.

Bovada also offered up odds on whether or not Mahomes and/or Ryan Fitzpatrick will throw for four or more touchdown passes for the third straight week. Mahomes is the favorite there at 9/4, followed by Fitzpatrick, then both, then neither.
