The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs have announced their inactives for Week 3, and Jaquiski Tartt will be sitting out. The 49ers promoted Tyvis Powell from the practice squad on Saturday, which suggested Tartt’s shoulder injury was still an issue. Antone Exum is expected to start in Tartt’s place.
In a surprise move, wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is active. He was not looking ready to go, but it appears he cleared what he needed to clear in pre-game warmups. It remains to be seen how he will perform after missing last week and most of Week 1 with a quad injury, but he provides a necessary deep threat if he’s good to go.
Another notable inactive is cornerback Greg Mabin. Richard Sherman and Ahkello Witherspoon are healthy and good to go, but this could mean a bump in playing time for Tarvarius Moore.
