The NFL’s leading rusher (until Todd Gurley plays on Thursday Night Football) is making progress from the knee injury he suffered on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs!
Matt Breida suffered what looked like a bad non-contact injury, but managed to return to action in the second half. Kyle Shanahan said on Monday that Breida was questionable this week due to the hyperextended knee and calf soreness. He was not expected to practice on Wednesday, but ended up listed as limited. On Thursday, he was a full participant. If he does not have a setback on Friday, he looks good to play on Sunday.
In related news, Alfred Morris was added to the injury list with a knee issue. He was listed as limited, so it’s likely not a big problem, but we’ll find out more on Friday. The team also upgraded Adrian Colbert and Mike Person from DNP to limited.
