Will the 49ers win or lose in Week 1?
49ers fans think they will beat the Vikings by 1
The 49ers are a 6.5 point underdog, and I’ll be honest, I picked them in this poll to lose by 11. A win is not out of the question, but I don’t like this matchup. Add in Reuben Foster’s suspension, no Jerick McKinnon, and Malcolm Smith and Jimmie Ward questionable for this weekend, and I just don’t like it.
I am not surprised 49ers fans think the 49ers will win this weekend, but I’m a little surprised where the number landed. Fans could pick from a broad range of winning or losing by 12 or more points. I expected a slightly more homer approach to this, but this suggests people are at least a little more cognizant of the difficulty of this matchup.
How confident are you in the direction of the team?

Very confident: 81 percent
Somewhat confident: 18 percent
Meh: 1 percent
Not very confident: 0 percent
Not confident at all: 0 percent
This is not remotely surprising, including the trolling “meh” vote. The 49ers have a lot of questions entering the 2018 season, and missing the playoffs would not be a surprise, but I don’t see how anybody can’t think this organization is moving in the right direction. We’ll see how future free agency pickups and draft classes look, but for now, so far so good.
What is the worst NFL rule?

Let’s just say I’m not remotely shocked the helmet rule topped the vote for worst NFL rule. That being said, my vote was for fumbling out of the end zone being a turnover. The helmet rule is poorly implemented, but I at least understand what they think they are trying to do with it. The fumbling out of the end zone rule continues to baffle me.
