Antonio Brown wants out in Pittsburgh. He’s made that pretty clear over the past week, and is pushing further and further this week. The Steelers could take the $21 million in dead money with a trade, but are they prepared to unload someone they see as disruptive but incredibly talented?
If he were to get dealt, he’s offered up the 49ers as an example on social media. We saw his brief exchange with George Kittle on New Years Eve. Since then, he started following Kittle, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Adrian Colbert on Twitter. Then earlier today, he started following the 49ers on Instagram.
It’s worth noting that earlier this week he re-posted a DM exchange he had with Tom Brady back in September. I suppose he’ll be happy going wherever he can if it gets him out of Pittsburgh.
Odds are pretty good for the time being that Brown won’t be going anywhere. The folks at Bookmaker.eu offered odds on which roster Brown will be on September 5th, 2019. The Steelers are heavy favorites, while the 49ers have the longest odds. I’m not finding the odds on Bookmaker as of publishing this, so it’s likely they took them down in light of the past 36 hours.
