The 49ers looked pretty dominant last week even with guys like Joe Staley and Ahkello Witherspoon out so we decided to play the Los Angeles Rams with a couple of more players missing. We might as well make it tougher on ourselves. Now we need a couple of more players to step up. Brunskill needs to play like a Skule and Deebo needs to take a step up in his development.
We need to see Deebo stepping up both with the ball and without it. No more drops. With Juszczyk out for a few weeks and no real replacement, we are going to need a player to step up and I am hoping that player is Deebo. If Deebo starts playing anywhere near as physical as Kittle or Juszczyk this offense should be that much better when the Juice returns.
At least the Rams biggest pass threat plays inside. I remember someone saying near the end of training camp that we didn’t need a good backup at offensive tackle because Staley only missed three plays last year. Unfortunately it does not work that way. While I could see the 49ers getting beat by the Rams, I think they have a very good chance of beating Washington, the Panthers and the Cardinals. Hopefully we can be 7-1 when we start getting some of our players back.
