In the middle of the night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that San Francisco 49ers star tight end George Kittle would play with a groin injury, but there was some concern that Kittle would be able to finish the game. The beat writers on hand said that Kittle looked fine in warmups. Kittle went through his normal warmups and didn’t appear to be “testing” his injury. That’s a good sign.
Dee Ford practicing all week should indicate we see Ford on the field for “starter” snaps. He’s been limited all season. In the past two weeks, Ford has played 16 and 17 snaps, respectively. If there was ever a game where the 49ers needed their defensive line at full strength, it’s against the Rams. The Niners defensive line can single-handedly win this game. They have that big of a mismatch.
Jeff Wilson is active. Possible fullback?
