Deebo Samuel down

New, comments

We don’t know what, looks like he just took a lick.

The San Francisco 49ers are 6:29 away from putting away the Los Angeles Rams with a 20-7 lead, but it may be the hardest 6:29 of their lives with these injury scares.

First, cornerback Richard Sherman went down grabbing his left arm and we thought the worst (after all, it’s the 49ers). Sherman is back on the field, but Deebo Samuel also went down when the offense took another series.

We don’t know the extent of it, but Samuel was going to the medical tent after Marquise Goodwin was checking out of it, so we’ll have more info shortly.

At this point the Rams are having a hell of a time getting anything and the 49ers defense has clamped down on any offensive plays. As I write this, Dee Ford just knocked the ball out of Jared Goff to create second and long (whoops, now Arik Armstead just proper-[site decorum] Jared Goff). Barring disaster, this game is over with. I’ve seen tweets where the Rams fans are leaving the field. The 49ers need to get out of here with as little injuries as possible.

If the 49ers win...the world is changing folks.
