The San Francsico 49ers released their final practice report for Saturday’s game against Washington and officially, wide receiver Deebo Samuel and defensive tackle D.J. Jones are listed as out for the game. Jones is listed with a hamstring while Samuel is out with a groin issue.
This shouldn’t be too surprising. Jones and Samuel were not practicing all week so it was certainly leaning towards Jones and Samuel not being available for Sunday. Jones has been quite solid at nose tackle and that could open things up for the running game.
Meanwhile Deebo Samuel is out as well. This most likely means wide receiver Jordan Matthews will be active for Sunday. Given all the injuries to wide receivers, it’s looking like that idea to keep seven wide receivers was a genius move for 2019.
Running back Raheem Mostert is listed as questionable.
On Washington’s side, a reunion between Vernon Davis and the 49ers won’t be happening as the tight end has been listed as out due to still dealing with a concussion. Washington will also be missing safety Deshazor Everett (ankle), linebacker Josh Harvey-Clemons (hamstring), guard Wes Martin (chest), and running back Chris Thompson (toe)
