Well it wasn’t pretty, and at times maybe infuriating, but the 49ers are now 6-0 and remain at the top of the NFC West and NFC. They now have just as many wins this year than 2017 when they went on a five-game winning streak to close things out. There’s nowhere to go but up and they have 10 games left to play.
Speaking of the NFC West, the 49ers’ rivals also picked up some wins as well. The Los Angeles Rams beat up on the Atlanta Falcons and the Arizona Cardinals pulled a win out of the New York Giants.
The 49ers now return to Santa Clara to regroup and get ready for the Carolina Panthers. That game is going to be one of the toughest they’ve faced thus far. The Panthers get Cam Newton back and with Christian McCaffrey, they can light you up if you aren’t careful.
For now though, it’s been six weeks off winning. That’s six good weeks. It’s strange but a loss somehow determines the mood of the week. I know when/if the 49ers hit a loss it’s going to be a huge gut punch, but they seem to have forgotten how to lose for the moment.
The 49ers have the Panthers and then the Cardinals on deck for a Thursday night game. While neither team is a gimmie, the 49ers have a good shot to go 8-0 if all goes well.
Stay faithful my friends
