Emmanuel Sanders is a member of the San Francisco 49ers, and the team didn’t have to give up an arm and a leg for him. One of the media members for Denver caught Sanders as he was leaving the facilities on Tuesday afternoon. Sanders said he had a lot of great times, but acknowledged that all great things come to an end. Listening to him talk, you can tell he’s confident. I like that. Sanders knows he can help the roster. He also spoke about how the offenses in Denver and San Francisco are similar. Rich Scangarello is the Broncos offensive coordinator. In 2017 & 2018, he was the quarterbacks’ coach for the 49ers. In 2015, he was the offensive quality control coach for the Falcons. He runs an identical offense, at least from a terminology standpoint. So there shouldn’t be a massive adjustment for Sanders.

The Panthers have a very strong pass defense. Only the Niners and Patriots are better. I imagine there was some urgency to get this deal done so Sanders can practice and get fully acclimated with the playbook and his teammates ahead of Sunday’s game.
