We were suppose to have a three headed running back monster with Breida, Coleman and McKinnon. How were we ever going to use all of those running backs? The biggest problem was going to be which ones to suit up on game day. By game two we were already down to one. Fortunately the 49ers have done just fine with Matt Breida and their backups.
Trent Taylor was going to be our first down catching machine, and Jalen Hurd was going to be our secret weapon. Between those two, Dante Pettis, Marquis Goodwin and Deebo Samuels, we were going to have a much better group of wide receivers this year. Fortunately we have done fine without Hurd and Taylor.
Shon Coleman was suppose to give us depth at offensive tackle but unfortunately he went down during the preseason. As a result, we had to go with a rookie that was drafted on day three after Joe Staley was injured. Hopefully Joe heals quickly.
Fortunately we are 3-0 in spite of all the problems listed above and Witherspoon’s injury. It is not the way things were was suppose to go but i will take 3-0 anytime. Now onto those sizzling hot links:
