It’s been a depressing day for San Francisco 49ers fans. Depressing for one reason: George Kittle is doubtful for Monday. It doesn’t help when Trent Taylor is not expected back for 2019. It’s an awful way to spend a Saturday, but I need to get everyone in a good mood so let’s talk about something else. Let’s talk about San Francisco 49ers radio announcer Greg Papa
Papa was let go of from the Oakland Raiders after the Raiders decided to go in a different direction in anticipation of the move to Las Vegas. They replaced Papa with Brent Musberger after a bit of drama and that left Papa available for the 49ers to snap up
Ted Robinson, Papa’s predecessor was moved elsewhere and his near-decade role as play-by-play voice was over. Regardless of your feelings on Robinson vs. Papa, the one thing that is cool is how much fun Papa is having. Papa’s new call for touchdowns has been the consistent, “Touchdooooowwwwnnnn San. Fran. Ciscooooo!” If you’ve been privy to Papa in the booth you see him trying to get everyone in on the excitement when he makes the call. I don’t know if he even needs a seat when he’s calling games:
Greg Papa has too much fun calling football games

I figured seeing him bounce around the booth may put everyone into a better mood today so here you go.
