Seven more games to go, hopefully they are better than this one

That sucked, but the 49ers still won eight games.

There’s no one who wanted the 49ers to win tonight more than me. I live in Seattle. I had two steak dinners bet on the game, and I also hear Seahawks blasts regularly. My one trip at Centurylink Field netted my friend and I getting beers slapped out of our hands and leaving a halftime with all the taunts. I’ve had acquaintances turn sour on me because I was a “whiners” fan.

But the 49ers needed this. They needed losses like this. The 49ers got beat by the Falcons in a drubbing in 1981. That was when Bill Walsh famously said something along the lines of “I don’t ever want to see us get punched in the mouth like that again.” Next thing you know the 49ers win the Super Bowl.

Richard Sherman made a good point in his press conference tonight that a loss like this is good for the team. It’s something to learn from. It’s a good wakeup call for the 49ers who had grown quite sloppy.

We’ll break down the game as we go on, but I’m so out of emotion and not really looking forward to a week of hearing about the Seahawks here and getting blasted. I’ll pay for my two steak dinners like a man and move on. I know a loss like this ruins the week, but I’ll do my best to lighten the mood.

I posted a different version of this a year or two ago, but it’s still funny and may help everyone a bit after the trouble from tonight. It’s RKOs from out of nowhere with Jim Ross having a seizure. It’s hilarious.

The 49ers are 8-1, they have seven games left and plenty of time to get a playoff spot. The sky is not falling for the 49ers. This is a loss that gives them a wakeup call.

It also is a loss that tells the wide receivers to catch the damn ball.

Watch the video and laugh.

Stay faithful, my friends.
