Re-setting the 49ers-Packers 2012 Divisional

The game that put Colin Kaepernick on the map

Truth be told, I don’t know what the hell is going to happen tomorrow. The San Francisco 49ers are taking on the Green Bay Packers in what feels like a playoff game. Whoever wins will have control of a first-round bye and in the 49ers’ case—they may fall to the wild card.

The gauntlet begins. I’ve already talked about the 49ers-Packers rivalry, but I wanted to reset the game that I loved posting gifs of. The 2012 NFC Divisional playoff. In this game, a second-year unknown quarterback named Colin Kaepernick walked in and absolutely embarrassed the Packers. It began what would be two years of dominance over Green Bay. Any of you that were fans of the 49ers in the 90s absolutely loved this, since the Packers did the same thing to the 49ers in that decade.

Here’s a link to Kaeperick’s performance in particular (I’d post it, but the DMCA biscuits don’t like exposure and won’t let me put it into a post of YouTube).

And here is the very game considered Kaepernick’s coming out party. The entire thing. It’s just as awesome as we all remember it. The DMCA biscuits could have it blocked, so go here if that’s the case.

See you all tomorrow.
