There are three games on the schedule Thursday, including the San Francisco 49ers Week 14 opponent. The games should get better as they go, considering the final game is a divisional matchup.
Chicago Bears (5-6) at Detroit Lions (3-7-1) 10:30 a.m.
Mitch Trubisky versus David Blough. The Bears were initially 1.5 point underdogs until Blough was announced the starter. Chicago is now 5.5 point favorites. The Bears defense should suffocate the Lions, but it’d be quite the story if there were any “Minshew Mania” type of beginner’s luck for the undrafted free agent out of Purdue.
Buffalo Bills (8-3) at Dallas Cowboys (6-5)
Buffalo started the season as one of the top defenses alongside the Niners and Pats, but their rushing defense would allow your backyard Turkey Bowl games to score. I’d expect a big game from Zeke Elliot, and a turnover from the Dallas defense to make this a touchdown difference. I don’t think the Bills are as good as their record indicates.
New Orleans Saints (9-2) at Atlanta Falcons (3-8)
The Falcons were humbled last week after a two-game winning streak. Can their defense get back on track against Drew Brees? We’ll see. Here’s to hoping a little holiday magic is sprinkled on Matt Ryan and Atlanta.
