Staley, McGlinchey, Juszczyk all return to practice Tuesday

The 49ers returned to the field Tuesday afternoon, and they received a few reinforcements. Joe Staley, Mike McGlinchey, and Kyle Juszczyk all returned to practice. McGlinchey said his knee felt good at practice. “Just need to get my win back.” He hopes to play Monday night against Seattle. I’d guess that will be a game-time decision. Ahkello Witherspoon was not on the field Tuesday. He’s missed the past five games with a foot injury. There hasn’t been any new news on the cornerback. We’ll update his status once the team does.

George Kittle wasn’t on the field, either. He injured his knee early in the game against the Cardinals, but he returned. Then Ross Dwelley played the fourth quarter as Kittle said Dwelley had more mobility. I’d be surprised if Kittle didn’t suit up against Seattle. This feels like it’s the Niners playing it safe. Here’s Kyle Shanahan from Friday on Kittle:

“I know he played through a lot of stuff,” Shanahan said. “It’s going to be tough on him this week, but I feel pretty good that it’s not going to be a longer-term thing, and hopefully, we’ll be able to get him back this week.”

The 49ers don’t have to file a practice report until Thursday, technically, so this is just getting players out on the field and extra work.
