The San Francisco 49ers are set to kickoff against the New Orleans Saints in just over an hour here. The 49ers are only dressing four receivers, as Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis are inactive. Here is the entire list of inactives:
QB C.J. Beathard
RB Jeff Wilson
WR Marquise Goodwin
WR Dante Pettis
TE Levine Toilolo
S Jaquiski Tartt
DL Jullian Taylor
Tartt down means Marcell Harris will start at safety. This also means the 49ers are carrying an extra offensive lineman, as Staley is active, but so is Daniel Brunskill and Justin Skule. I like the idea, especially considering you know Pettis nor Goodwin will step on the field. With Matt Breida healthy, there’s simply no room for Jeff Wilson.
Here’s a look the Saints inactives:
Patrick Robinson, Saquan Hampton, Zach Line, A.J. Klein, Kiko Alonso, Will Clapp and Andrus Peat.
Klein and Alonso both are starting linebackers for the Saints, and Andrus Peat starts at guard. Terron Armstead, the all-everything left tackle, will play. We’ll see if he is 100%.
