Update: Ford is officially out
The San Francisco 49ers are in the makings of a shootout with the New Orleans Saints and it’s going to also be a bloodbath. Nick Bosa exited the field with a knee injury, but returned. The main name is edge rusher Dee Ford, who just returned from injury, is on the sidelines having re-aggravated the quad.
We don’t know if he’ll be back in but the 49ers defense needs all the help they can get in this game. They haven’t been able to tackle, let alone force a punt to the Saints yet. The only badge they have is stopping a cheap 2-point attempt from the Saints on their second touchdown.
We’ll have more updates on Ford when they come available, but right now the 49ers need him and anyone else they can get
