The rematch is about to begin. Some of you are watching it, some of you are watching commercials. In any case here’s all the pertinent info for the game.

The final football game of the season is upon us. Super Bowl 53 will get going this afternoon in a rematch of the game that made Tom Brady a household name.

Many of you aren’t too happy about this matchup and may be watching commercials. I’m expecting a fun game at the very least. The two teams match up well and the game should be entertaining until the end. Super Bowls that are blowouts tend to not be as fun, well unless it’s the 49ers blowing out the San Diego Chargers.

A Rams win means, well, the Rams win. Los Angeles gets crowned “Football Town” and Sean McVay coaching stock continues to skyrocket. It also proves that the all-in they made in the NFC West arms race paid off. How they sustain this is going to be anyone’s guess.

A Patriots win further chisels Tom Brady’s name into the elite of the elite quarterbacks. Considering that Brady is playing into his 40s, that is nothing short of impressive. There’s no telling when Brady would hang it up, and he has one more year on his current contract, but this could be an ample opportunity to ride off into the sunset.

Fooch’s pick: The Rams are a 2.5-point underdog, and betting has been heavy in favor of the Patriots. I’ve gone back and forth on this, and I am going to go with the minority on this. The Rams could come in jittery and things could get ugly, but I don’t see that happening. The key in my mind is their pass rush. Tom Brady has stayed mostly clean in the pocket in the playoffs, but when he gets consistently pressured, he is not particularly good. I think Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh, and Dante Fowler are all going to be key. I think Donald has a monster game and the Rams win this one outright.
