49ers open in the middle of the pack in Super Bowl 54 odds

This should change once Jimmy Garoppolo gets back on the field.

We might be less than 12 hours removed from Super Bowl 53’s yawn-inducing conclusion, but it’s already time to start looking ahead to Super Bowl 54! Several sportsbooks posted preliminary 2020 Super Bowl odds in mid-January, but the conclusion of last night’s game has everybody diving in to get ready for the NFL’s 100th anniversary season.

There will be plenty more Super Bowl futures odds coming along, but here are the first four I’ve seen.

Bovada: 45/1 (favorite: Patriots 13/2, longest: Dolphins 300/1)
Westgate: 50/1 (favorite: Chiefs 6/1, longest: Dolphins 300/1)
BetOnline.ag: 40/1 (favorite: Patriots 13/2, longest: 4 tied at 100/1)
William Hill: 30/1 (favorite: Patriots 13/2, longest: Dolphins 150/1)

Odds will be adjusted when significant money comes in, but the next really notable change will be in March after free agency gets going. There will be roster transactions before then, but the first big group of moves will happen when the new league year happens next month. If the 49ers dive deep into free agency, we could see some big movement, but otherwise I imagine sportsbooks and fans will be waiting to see what Jimmy Garoppolo looks like in OTAs and minicamp, and then training camp.
