Golden Nuggets: Free agent moves being made

Your San Francisco 49ers links for Saturday, March 9th, 2019

Well, it’s that time of year, where people get let go of. No, I’m not talking about Christmas time, it’s NFL free agency. And the moves are flying across the league.

The San Francisco 49ers made some moves, but the only one we saw coming was the decline of Pierre Garcon’s contract option. Malcolm Smith was seen as a surefire cost-cutting layoff, but the 49ers restructured the deal. And then there’s this guy.

I’m really not sure why they snagged a kicker. Well, I get the though process with Robbie Gould and them working out an extension, I just don’t get THAT kicker.

In any case, free agency is beginning. Teams are making their adjustments and the spending begins next week. The fun is about to begin.
