Which 49ers wide receiver do you think gets the most targets?

We could go with just catches, but let’s try and narrow down who that possible No. 1 wide receiver is.

OK, you’ve heard me going on about how having a true No. 1 wide receiver on the San Francisco 49ers isn’t necessary. This is thanks to the genius scheming of Kyle Shanahan’s offense. That said, we’re going to see who possibly could rise into that role.

The 49ers have been mighty busy overhauling the position. What was seen as laughably bad (2016) to below average (2017) to underrated (2018) has now become a strength for the offense. If the 49ers are planning on having a true No. 1, we should see it this year. They took Deebo Samuel in the draft and Dante Pettis has been getting some nods. Kendrick Bourne also could have a huge improvement.

We already discussed which running backs get the most carries, now we’re going to look at which wide receiver gets the most targets. Does a receiver with the most targets mean anything? Not necessarily, but it does indicate that there’s someone that the playcallers and Jimmy Garoppolo can rely on.

So I leave the question to you: Which wide receiver gets the most targets in 2019? Keep in mind, this is targets (or attempts if you want to cite certain vernacular), not catches. This is also wide receivers only, so you George Kittle fans are out of luck.

Here’s a poll below.
