Where does Deebo rank?

EA Sports recently released their ratings for the ever popular Madden 2020. The San Francisco 49ers first round draft pick Nick Bosa is the third-highest rated rookie on the game. Bosa is a 78 overall. Ahead of him is Quinnen Williams of the Jets, who is an 80 overall. Then there’s Ed Oliver of the Buffalo Bills, who is a 79 overall. The top rookies after those three may surprise. They include T.J. Hockenson, Marquise Brown, and Josh Allen.

Deebo Samuel did not rank among the top five rookie receivers, surprisingly. Samuel was rated as a 71. After Hollywood Brown, the Seattle Seahawks D.K. Metcalf is ranked a 76 overall. Then N’Keal Harry at 74 overall, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside at 73, and Hakeem Butler at 72. A little birdie told me that Butler may not even see 25 targets during his rookie season and will have to fight for a roster spot. That was interesting.

Here’s how the rest of the 49ers rookies stack up:

Jalen Hurd: 68 overall.

Mitch Wishnowsky: 68 overall. Speed 84.

Kaden Smith: 65 overall.

Dre Greenlaw: 63 overall.

Tim Harris: 63 overall.

Justin Skule: 57 overall.
