On Tuesday, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo went on a media tour promoting Men’s Wearhouse’s annual Suit Drive. Jimmy G stole a line from Deion Sanders himself:

“It allows men and women to make a good first impression. I think it applies to the whole football mindset of ‘look good, feel good, play good.”

The real news is Garoppolo speaking on his health, and how rehab has gone. Jimmy G said he doesn’t expect to start training camp on the physically unable to perform list and is planning to be a full-go from day one. That should put Niner fans at ease for the time being.

The rehab process has gone really well. Knock on wood. We haven’t had any setbacks. OTAs went about as well as I could have hoped for and now for training camp hopefully we’ll be full go with team drills and all that stuff. We’re moving in the right direction. We’ve just got to keep going day by day and keep stacking them together. It’s a long process, but we’ve come this far, so why stop now, right?”

Not having any setbacks is excellent news. The rehab process is all about progress. So Garoppolo moving in the right direction is what matters. Garoppolo won’t have any restrictions and has been cleared to do everything.

“I’m sure hoping so. The training staff, the coaches, we’ve kind of put together a plan and everything like that. We’ll kind of assess the situation as we get closer to it. I’m good to go. Finally.”
