Golden Nuggets: No News is Good News

A collection of San Francisco 49ers related links for Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019

There’s absolutely no 49ers related news to report so I apologize for the lack of substance today. The players are off enjoying life and thankfully avoiding trouble (unless you want to count Marquise Goodwin hugging a tiger as trouble). Training camp will get started at the end of this month on July 26th with the 49ers playing their first preseason game on August 10th at home vs. the Dallas Cowboys.

The Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos will kick things off this year with the Hall of Fame Game on August 1st. The last time the 49ers played in the Hall of Fame Game was back on July 31, 2000 against the New England Patriots, which is kind of ridiculous. I’m all for shortening the preseason in favor of an extra bye week during the season, but I would also like the extra practice time that being in that game entails. We have a young team, every little bit of practice helps.
