The lone 49er to make the list so far

The first San Francisco 49er to make NFL Network’s Top 100 list didn’t suit up for them last season. Dee Ford comes in at No. 67 on the list voted by players that rank the 100 best players going into the 2019 season. He had the seventh-most sacks in the NFL, third-most QB hits, and sixth-most hurries. Seven forced fumbles are the cherry on top every defensive coordinator craves.

Here is the video:

Ford is 28, and coming off his first Pro Bowl selection. He will be a crucial part of the 49ers’ success this season. He will make life easier for everyone else on defense. That’s why the Niners traded a 2020 second-round pick to Kansas City and signed Ford to a five-year, $85.5 million deal.

George Kittle is rumored to be the third tight end on this list, though I’m not sure where he’ll land. The list omitting Deforest Buckner tells you all you need to know how serious we can take it. Mark Ingram was on the list over him.

If everything goes as planned, the 49ers should be well-represented on the list this time next season.
