Monday marked the 49ers’ first padded practice of the season allowing the offense to finally get things going, with the highlight being a 70-yard TD pass from Jimmy Garoppolo to Richie James. The lack of the long ball has long been a criticism of Garoppolo, and I’m hoping this is the season he puts those doubts to rest, because I don’t know about you, but I’m riding that hype train and can’t wait for this season to start. With Garoppolo healthy (knock on wood), Kyle Shanahan finally seems to have all the pieces in place to run his full offense, which should allow our new pass rushers to feast. September 8th can’t get here soon enough.
