George Kittle was always a high-end athlete. At the University of Iowa, Kittle held mostly every weightlifting or athletic testing record for tight ends. That was after strength and conditioning coach Chris Doyle got his hands on Kittle. In the video below, Kittle says he arrived at Iowa City weighing at 200 pounds, and Doyle told him the only way he was going to see the field was if he learned how to run block. Pro Football Focus has been high on Kittle since his Iowa days as well. They recently wrote this blurb on the San Francisco 49ers star tight end:

We weren’t even that high on Kittle, as he ended up 70th on our draft board, but found the value absurdly good once he slipped out of the third round. Little did we realize he’d last all the way to the 5th and 146 overall. This past season he broke the PFF record for yards after the catch – regardless of position.
