It’s still a long season, but the San Francisco 49ers showed a lot of good things against he Kansas City Chiefs in their third preseason game. It wasn’t that Jimmy Garoppolo played well, it was how he played; dropping dimes all over the field, taking hits (which was good) and completing 70 percent of his passes.
Of course there’s plenty to work on. Garoppolo could work on his ball placement a bit and Ross Dwelley could work on catching those tough passes, but overall, I like where this is headed.
Just bring on the regular season now. We’ll watch the 49ers in Week 4 of the preseason. Well, the third and fourth stringers. Then comes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Football is almost back.
