Mayor of Punterville here.
The 49ers punted only twice in Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and in some ways, that’s a good thing.
Regardless, we still have punter videos though for your loyal citizens of Punterville. First here’s a 54-yard boot with five minutes left into the first quarter:
#49ers P Mitch Wishnowsky boots a 54 yard punt in yesterday’s victory.

The Hangtime in his kicks allows the Niners to get to the return man and deliver a hit if they dare and try to make a return.

Remember that part about how special teams gunners were going to like this? Well, this is what I’m talking about. The Bucs returner didn’t have a chance. Why he didn’t fair catch that we may never know. Not only was it 54 yards, but Wishnowsky keeps that thing in the air that there’s not much of a chance for an opposing special teams player to take it out.
However, there was disheartening news. Our other punt from Wishnowsky came out of the 49ers’ endzone. This was not so much his fault as it was bad offensive playcalling and a penalty, but this boot did not go near as well. For starters, Wishnowsky had little room as the ball was on the San Francisco 4-yard line. That had him right on the edge of out of bounds in the endzone. Second, the punt only went 37 yards, and this is including a lucky Tampa Bay bounce that moved it a few more yards back into San Francisco territory.
So two punts. While Wishnowsky showed us what he could be this season with one punt, he didn’t have much luck with the other one, but this was less on him and the 49ers offense giving him bad field position.
Citizens, please tell me what you think of the state of Punterville.
