Mayor of Punterville here.
I’m here to tell you that there’s been some cause for concern on Mitch Wishnowsky’s drafting. Not for his punting, his punting has been spectacular, as all you loyal citizens of Punterville know. The question of the pick is based on the fact the 49ers haven’t had to punt.
However, I do have this. This 36 yard boot with hangtime that was caught by a 49er. I don’t mean the video was caught by a 49er fan. I mean the punt, Wishnowsky’s punt, was caught by a 49ers special teamer before it hit the ground:

Who needs gunners, who needs any of that when the 49ers can rush down to the field and wait for a Wishnowsky punt to drop in their hands. The 49ers don’t, they managed to get right under it and catch it on the 1-yard line.
So two more punts. While Wishnowsky showed us what he could be this season with one punt, he didn’t have much luck with the other one. It was a 37-yard boot that looked longer on TV than it was in real life. It was quickly downed by Dre Greenlaw and that was the end of that one. It was garbage time anyways. As long as no one blocks the punt, things are good.
Let’s go back to that first punt. Let’s go back to all these punts. I have one simple question: When in 2017 did anyone see Bradley Pinion do any of this much less get a city created in his honor? No disrespect to Pinion but when you see the consistency (so far) and the swagger of what Wishnowsky did, it gets more and more clear of why the 49ers reached for this guy when they did.
Citizens, please tell me what you think of the state of Punterville.
