Steelers vs. 49ers injury report: Dee Ford is active

It’s the home opener for the San Francisco 49ers as they host the Pittsburgh Steelers. Here is the inactive list for today’s game:

Ward was always going to be a game-time decision. The pain-tolerance must have been too much for Ward to play.

That means Dee Ford and Nick Bosa will play. That also means Jason Verrett will make his 49ers debut. The Steelers are known to spread out defenses, so we could see Verrett in sub-packages.
