If there is anything media related to George Kittle, we’re going to talk about it, and I’m not going to apologize. He’s that entertaining. The star tight end on the San Francisco 49ers was mic’d up against the Steelers last Sunday. In the video below, you’ll see Kittle interact with former Niners star wideout Terrell Owens. TO was being honored at halftime after being inducted into the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame over the weekend.

Kittle has 17 catches for 165 yards through three games. Nine of those have gone for first downs, but he has yet to reach the end zone. Through three games last season, Kittle had 12 receptions for 191 yards and zero touchdowns as well. He was always going to have a difficult time to keep up with the pace from last year’s yardage wise.

This year we see a complete version of Kittle. He’s always been a super gifted athlete, but there were lapses in his play. Whether that was a drop or a missed block here and there. Kittle has taken his game to another level this year, being the reliable threat that Jimmy Garoppolo needs on critical third downs. To me, there’s more on his plate as well when you talk about blocking responsibilities. He has been fantastic this year.
