Heading into Week 4 former San Francisco 49ers running back and future Hall of Famer to be Frank Gore needed 88 yards to reach 15,000 rushing yards for his career. Well, he did that in the first half. Gore had a 41-yard run where he broke a few tackles to reach 15,000 rushing yards. Here’s the play.
“Frank Gore bouncing off of contact” should be the opening line for his HOF induction https://t.co/J7MVxwsVIE

Gore becomes the fourth player to reach 15,000 career rushing yards in NFL history. The three other players are Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, and Barry Sanders. They’re all in the Hall of Fame.
I’m seeing a lot of tweets about Frank Gore that don’t include the words “future Hall of Fame running back.” Get it right, folks.

Sanders has 15,269, so there’s a strong chance Gore surpasses that total this season. As for the Hall of Fame, it’s only a matter of when for Gore. You saw that 41-yard run. That doesn’t look like a guy slowing down any time soon, despite being 36-years old— what an incredible career.
