The Rams lost to the Buccaneers...in Los Angeles

Ha ha!

Pat’s Update: The Buccaneers beat the Rams. The same Buccaneers the 49ers beat in Tampa Bay. This might say something. No, not that the 49ers are in first place in the NFC West (but it does say that also, just not what I’m thinking).

The San Francisco 49ers are on bye, which means we will be watching the rest of the NFC West closely to see how things shape up with divisional standings. We have a lot of football left to play, but I think it’s important to point out the Los Angeles Rams are losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21-0. In Los Angeles.

Jared Goff has not looked good at all, throwing two picks. The Rams are in the redzone as I write this and most likely will score, but they look mighty awful right now. Will the Buccaneers hold on? Who knows. But the fact the Rams are struggling at home against a team the 49ers were able to beat on the road says something. Yes, Week 1 is a misnomer because of all the sloppy football, but it’s worth mentioning.

Nevermind, as I type this Todd Gurley just strutted into the endzone, so it’s 21-7.

Meanwhile the Seattle Seahawks are giving the Arizona Cardinals an underwhelming thrashing. I expected that game to be a lot more off the rails at this point, but Arizona is actually trying. All I can say there is thank you Arizona for hiring Kliff Kingsbury and thank you Arizona for taking Kyler Murray over Nick Bosa.

We’ll have a full set of rankings later when the games conclude, but right now, Go Bucs!
