I’m still waiting for a deep biography on this, or the ESPN 30-for-30 I can watch, but for now, SB Nation’s Alex Rubenstein put together a great video on the rise and fall of Jim Harbaugh’s San Francisco 49ers.
The video is quite recent, but it describes the hiring, the tenure, and the downfall of the Jim Harbaugh era. This includes the promotion of Jim Tomsula and hiring of Chip Kelly in the head coach roles while Trent Baalke fought to keep his job.
While it’s good at telling what happened and explaining the eventual downfall, it isn’t anything we haven’t heard already. I’m still waiting for the key players (Jed York, Baalke, Harbaugh) to be put together for a book full of interviews going over what was going through everyone’s head.
