In case anyone has ever wondered, my name refers to Joe Montana who was a true wizard. I have never seen a more magical NFL quarterback. Thus Joe the Wizard. Anyway, with the 49ers 2019 season about to begin I thought I would play with the name a bit and use this opportunity to make my own predictions.
Jimmy Garoppolo will start every game and pass for over 4500 yards. I really don’t see him passing for any fewer yards in Kyle Shanahan’s offense and the 49ers still being successful.
Jimmy G and Marquise Goodwin will rekindle the magic they had between them and Goodwin will lead the 49ers in yards receiving. I really love Deebo Samuels and can’t wait for Jalen Hurd to return but the already established chemistry between Jimmy and Goodwin will be huge.
Deebo will lead the team in reception. Deebo may not lead the team in receiving yards but I think he will quickly end up being Jimmy G’s relief valve. Teams are going to be keeping a much closer eye on George Kittle which should help Deebo immensely. Hopefully Pettis will become more consistent and get his share of passes but I just see Deebo as being much more reliable. I also love Taylor’s ability to get open but I think the advantage we have with a big bodied receiver on the field will get Deebo more opportunities.
Nick Bosa will lead the team in sacks and tackles for a loss. He may be a rookie but he is a rookie that is immensely talented and he is going to stand out in his very first game.
Tarvarius Moore is going to have at least five interceptions. I think this guy has a nose for the ball and I doubt Ward will get his job back.
