We have been waiting a long time to see Tartt and Ward healthy and playing well together and that wait is finally paying dividends. That is extremely good news because we are going to need every bit of Ward and Tartt’s speed and elite athletic abilities along with that special chemistry they have between them in order to shut down Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. I have gone back and found a couple of excellent articles about their unique chemistry that were written earlier in the season. I thought it might be fun to read them again before the big game.
The first link is written by David Bonilla of 49ers Webzone on how they are in their own little world and constantly bickering with each other:
The second link is by Jennifer Lee Chan who just happens to be one of my favorite 49ers beat writers for some time now. Her article focuses more on their abilities on the field:
Both articles are really good and should make you feel even better about our dominant defense going into the championship game on Sunday. We know how good our defensive line is with our four starters healthy again and we know our linebackers are beyond amazing now that Kwon Alexander is back in the lineup. This great safety tandem along with Richard Sherman's reemergence as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and Emmanuel Moseley playing out of his mind makes it extremely hard to find a weakness in our defense. I can’t wait to see them in action.
