How Kyle Shanahan’s Run Scheme lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl

| Film Breakdown by @AlexRollinsNFL

The 49ers have the most destructive rushing attack in the NFL offensive mastermind Kyle Shanahan designs this ground attack. After beating the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game and rushing for 285 yards and four touchdowns, the 49ers are headed to Miami to face the Kansas City Chiefs. Some might think Shanahan is doing exactly as his dad Mike Shanahan taught him, but that isn’t entirely true. Shanahan doesn’t use just inside and outside zone runs, but traps, counters, X end around, and more. He uses zone concepts within his zone concepts, Tight End George Kittle and Fullback Kyle Juszczyk can adapt and change who they’re blocking in the middle of the play.
